Breaking My 3-Day Fast
I just finished a 3-day fast refraining from eating any food. From Thursday until Saturday I only drank black ☕️ coffee, lots of 💧 water, Pellegrino and herbal teas. I chose this meal to break my fast. Why “starve” for 3 days and then choose to eat this?
- No, I’m not crazy!
- No, I do NOT want to lose any weight. I’m a size zero, I can’t afford to lose any weight.
- If you can go 24 hours without food, your own body starts producing new stem cells. By day 3, my body just became FLOODED with new stem cells. I just put myself in massive repair and regenerate mode![1] My own stem cells are my “fountain of youth”. I just got a free face lift 😉
- I just gained the incredible benefits of autophagy[2]. My body, sensing it was not getting any food, started scavenging to consume something. What did it just consume? My own pre-cancerous cells, old or bad muscle tissue, toxins and my own fat. You spring clean your house, why not spring clean your body? This is DETOX on steroids. It detoxes you on a cellular level and allows your cells’ receptors to communicate better with the important hormones and enzymes in the body.
- I experienced incredible mental clarity, energy and focus because I forced my body to burn nothing but fat for 3 days. I have noticed that every time I fast I am extremely productive.
- I just cooled inflammation in my body[3]. Inflammation is caused by eating grains, the standard American diet and STRESS. While my diet is excellent, I still experience inflammation from stress. It’s critically important to keep inflammation at bay because inflammation opens the door to many diseases, including heart disease and auto-immune diseases.
- If 40 days of fasting was good enough for Jesus, I think I can do 3 days.
- I feel accomplished knowing I have tremendous discipline and will power. Mind really is over matter. You understand that once you experience fasting.
- I credit fasting and my food choices for looking and feeling better than ever as I age.
- If you still think I’m crazy, then I submit to you, you would have to be crazy not researching this further and trying at least a 24 hour fast.
Why did I break my fast with these foods, herbs and spices?
- 🧅The onion contains glutathione (a major detoxifier), quercetin (helps heal the gut lining and is a tumor inhibitor), B vitamins and C, antioxidants, antibacterial and cancer fighting compounds, stabilizes blood sugar, rich source of fiber and probiotics.[4]
- 🥑Avocados are loaded with healthy saturated fats, potassium, fiber, nutrient rich (vitamins K, Folate, vitamins C, B5, B6, E, A, magnesium, manganese, copper, iron, phosphorus, and zinc.)[5]
- 🍳Eggs are high in protein, and are rich in Vitamins A, B vitamins, D, E, K and zinc, Lutein (supports eye health), phosphorus, selenium, choline, beneficial cholesterol, and omega 3 fats.[6]
- 🍄Mushrooms are rich in protein, vitamins C, D, potassium, selenium, choline, beta-glucans (detoxifies cells and inhibits tumor growth), folate, minerals, and antioxidants and helps manage diabetes.[7]
- 🌿Micro arugula is rich in Calcium, potassium, folate, and Vitamins A, C, K.[8]

After a 3-day respite from eating, what a better way to break my fast than by eating these magnificent ingredients? These past 3 days I was burning my own fat for fuel, I wanted to ease back into digestion by eating heart healthy and beneficial saturated fats and proteins. I feel fantastic and look forward to doing this again next year.
